

Leroy Francis Perrien Jr., 65, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. A native of New Orleans and longtime resident of Arabi before relocating to Baton Rouge in 2005, Mr. Perrien was a master plumber in both the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Eretta Chachati Perrien; sons, Scott Perrien and wife Dawn, Patrick Perrien and wife Julie; brother, Wayne Perrien and wife Sheryl; grandchildren, Addison, Declan, Lily, and Sloane Perrien; mother-in-law, Margaret Chachati; brother-in-law, Mark Chachati and wife Lisa; godchildren, Rhonda, Duane, Kale, Kristen, niece, Adrienne, and numerous close cousins, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Francis Perrien, Sr. and Gladys Mischler Perrien; father-in-law, Mathew Chachati and brother-in-law, George Chachati. Mr. Perrien, a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School and Southeastern Louisiana University, was a former parishioner of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Arabi and presently of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. He was a third degree knight with the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Hug Council #10554 and St. Patrick Council #8601. A man filled with life, love, laughter, and smiles. He will be greatly missed by all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Perrien at 11:00 am on Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday morning at St. Patrick Catholic Church starting at 9:00am and continuing until Mass at 11:00 am.
