

Lolita Juanita Currera passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at the age of 80. She was a native of Charleston, Virginia and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana. Lolita enjoyed all sports but specifically loved to cheer on the New Orleans Saints and LSU. She loved to spend time with family, cook, draw, and read. She also enjoyed doing hair and makeup. She is survived by her children, Sheilla Wells Ingram (Michael) and Michael C. Wells (Tina); grandchildren, Dustin L. Batson (Madyson), Austin J. Ingram, Alexis Aumaga (Sam), and Storm A. Wells (Melissa); a great granddaughter due in June, Saylor B. Batson; sister, Wandalia Littlefield; brother, Michel( Mike) A. Tusa, Charles D. Dickey; and nieces, Lauren, Blenda, Tricia, Falon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her companion, Jose Quiroz; first husband, Bobby Harold Wells; second husband, Joseph Currera; parents, Corye Douglas Dickey and Margie Abney Dickey; sister, Cereda Johnson; and brother, Corye Douglas Dickey.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy.
