

A resident of Gonzales and native of Chalmette, she passed away from complications due to ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) at 3:20 am on Monday, October 8, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake surrounded by her loved ones. She was 51 and a retired Ascension Parish School bus driver having served 20 years. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, October 10 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume on Thursday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Entombment to follow in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Childers; daughter and son in law, Twina Mincks and Shayne; son, Aaron Adams, Jr.; mother, Margaret Sanchez; brothers, Robert "Kookie" Bell and Russell Bell; sister, Sherie Bell; grandsons, Cole, Abel, and Blair Mincks; grandmother, Telvina "Duce" LeBourgeois Dupuy; adopted daughter, Bonnie Dupre and husband Jay; step daughters, Maureen and Katherine Childers; step sisters, Mona and Ernie Bercegay, Monica and Gary Boudreaux, and Tammy and Jimmy Charbonnet; Joyce Ann Bell; and her loving dog, Beau. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bobby" Bell; grandfathers, Clement Dupuy and John Bell; step father, Virgen "V.J." Sanchez; grandmother, Mary Bell; and a step sister Darla Landry. Pallbearers will be Robert Bell, Jr. (Godchild), John Brady (caregiver), Timothy, Childers, and Donny Childers (brothers in law), and Gilbert Ramirez.
