

Lori Brooke Moreau, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the age of 34 at MD Anderson after a six month journey with cancer. She was born in Opelousas and was a longtime resident of Prairieville, LA. Lori was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She attended LSU where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree and was employed with Cyrious Software out of Baton Rouge. She was adventurous, enjoyed traveling, was well-read, enjoyed her profession, was big-hearted and thoughtful of others, loved children, and was very passionate about supporting the work of the St. Jude Foundation. Her kindness spilled over into all aspects of her life.
Survived by her parents Nanette and Dale Moreau; sister Shannon Moreau Lavigne, brother-in-law Joshua, and their children, her niece Alexis and nephew Brandt; also aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Edward and Gladys Valin, paternal grandparents Robert and Shirley Moreau; uncles John Earl Valin and Charles Edward Valin.
Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2PM – 9PM. On Monday, August 7, 2017, visitation will continue at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville from 9:15AM until mass at 10AM, conducted by Father Jerry Martin. Interment to follow at Bellevue Memorial Cemetery in Opelousas, LA at 2:30 PM.
