

A native and resident of Gonzales, he was born July 24, 1931, and died Friday, March 12, 2010. He had worked for Ford Motor Co. dealerships for more than 45 years. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Sunday, March 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales on Monday, March 15, from 9:30 a.m. until service at 11:30 a.m. Entombment at Hope Haven Mausoleum on La. 30. Services conducted by the Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanette Arceneaux Lambert; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Tim Fatherree; three sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Paulette Lambert, Brian and Donna Lambert, and Brent and Collette Lambert; a sister, Helen Fairchild; a brother, Huey Lambert; 11 grandchildren, Cole, Cory, Melissa, Jennifer, Adam, Amy, Aaron, Adrienne and Amelia Lambert, Jeremy and Jason and wife Brandi Fatherree; and two great-grandchildren, Ayden Fatherree and Joshua Shipley. Preceded in death by his parents, Rosemond Sr. and Euranie Lambert; a sister, Irene Richey; and two brothers, RC Lambert and Joseph Lambert. Pallbearers will be Cole Lambert, Cory Lambert, Jason Fatherree, Jeremy Fatherree, Adam Lambert and Aaron Lambert. He was a faithful adorer at the St. Mark Adoration Chapel, a member of the local prayer group, founding member of a local French class, Allons Parler Cadien, and a member of an informal daily breakfast group at the Gonzales McDonald's restaurant. In addition to enjoying time with his family, Louis also enjoyed gardening, fishing, shopping, dining and traveling with friends. He was also an avid LSU fan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
