Louis Lee Wright Sr. 84, of St. Amant, La passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 surrounded by his family. He retired from the United States Navy with 23 years of service. He was a very active member of the St. Amant Booster Club from 1983-2010. From 1970 to 1975 he was a member of the Elite Navy Demonstration Team, The Blue Angels. He is survived by his wife, Jean Mahon; 2 daughters, Stephanie Wright Abadie (Kenny), and Marilyn Kathi Foust; 2 sons, Louis L. Wright Jr, and Daniel J. Wright (Neta); grandchildren, Alicia Abadie Modenbach (Jeff), Barbie Hodge Will (Ted), Ian Alberes (Monica), Ashley Wright, Gary Soley (Katy), Amanda Wright Doughty (Doug), Amanda Shar Shakespeare, Austin Abadie (Brooke), Alexandra Alberes Ballard (Daniel), Aaron Abadie (Mary Ann); great grandchildren, Jude and Josie Modenbach, Maxwell and Fox Will, Jude and Hazel Alberes, Sirius Cruz, Haley and Triston Shakespeare, Brenna and Aubree Abadie, Gabriel Ballard, and Reece Abadie; sister, Lily May Fairchild and sister-in-law, Arlene Liuzza. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara Teston Wright; his parents, Roy and Lily Becnel Wright; brother, Roy Wright; son-in-law, William Foust; sister and brother-in-law, Fay and Ronnie Huguet; brother-in-law, Alvin Fairchild Sr. sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Gus Speed; niece, Diane Watson and nephew, Butch Huguet. A memorial service for Louis will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy Gonzales, La. He will be laid to rest at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, La. A special thank you to Cardinal Hospice for the excellent care and service in his final days!
