

“Beloved, let us love God, for love is of God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” John 1 4:7 Lovie “LuLuv” Daigle Smith lost her battle with leukemia on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Ceneter at 64 years old. She is survived by husband of 46 years, Harry Joseph Smith, Mount Airy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon Smith and Jason Wymer and Holly Smith and Johnny Perque; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jodi Rouyea; half brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Debbie Daigle; grandchildren, Adam Rouyea, Zachary Rouyea, Lyssa Rouyea, Blaize Rouyea, Mckenzie Hunter and Abigail Smith; and many other friends and family whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her nephew, Luke Gautreau; father, Herbert Rouyea; father, Euclid Daigle; and mother, Nell Parent Rouyea. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, Feb. 29, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, on Thursday, March 1, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales.
