Lucille Delatte Fontenot

A resident of Whitehall, she passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at age 87. Visitation St. Stephens Catholic Church, Whitehall, on Monday, Feb. 7, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gerald LeFebvre. Entombment at Whitehall Community Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Melva Berthelot, French Settlement, and Leverne and Berlin Aydell, of Prairieville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rayborn and Diana Cambre Fontenot, of Port Vincent, and Lemoine Fontenot, of Whitehall; three sisters, Louvella Fontenot, of Metairie, Yvonne Casbon of Mandeville, and Laura Alford, of Miami; brother, Royal Delatte; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Albert N. Fontenot; father and mother, Joseph and Edna Berthelot Delatte; son, Collins Fontenot; two brothers, Vernon Delatte and Emery Delatte; two grandsons, Christopher Watts and Troy Altazan; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Albea Fontenot. Pallbearers will be Rayborn Fontenot, Darren Fontenot, Lemoine Fontenot, Dain Fontenot, Berlin Aydell and Kenny Whittington.
