Lynn Carruth Jumonville

A resident of Gonzales, he passed away on his birthday, Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the age of 71. He was the owner and operator of Jumonville’s Bakery, which was his passion for 53 years. He was a member of Retail Bakers of America and Deep South Retail Bakery Association. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Ardoin Jumonville; daughter and son-in-law, Monique Jumonville and Bert Babin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Blair and Traci Kesler Jumonville and Shane and Rita McDonald Jumonville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Jumonville and Chester Melancon, Juanita Jumonville and Clifton Landry, and Kathy Jumonville Theriot; seven brothers and four sisters-in-law, James and Phyllis Jumonville, Lonnie and Meryl Jumonville, Robert Jumonville, Gerald Jumonville, Michael and Brenda Jumonville, Dennis Jumonville, and William and Teresa Jumonville; seven grandchildren, Devon Babin, Brandon Jumonville, Kayla Jumonville, Peyton Babin, Haley Jumonville, Heather Faulkner McDonald, and Jonathon Faulkner; one great grandchild, Brendan Wilder; one great-great grandchild, Ashton Faulkner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Carruth and Gertrude Mae Jumonville; grandson, Dustan Reine; brother-in-law, Wayne Theriot; and a nephew, Anthony Melancon.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church at 11 a.m., conducted by Fr. Alec Shelton. Burial will follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Gonzales.

Pallbearers will be Billy Jumonville, Jimmy Jumonville, Brandon Jumonville, Bert Babin, Clifton Landry, and Kevin Ardoin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathon Faulkner, Roy Cheramie, Troy Jumonville.
