

A native of White Castle and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away in her home on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 47 and an environmental scientist who enjoyed nature, bird watching, gardening and being outdoors. She is survived by her loving husband, Bert Paul Brouillette, of Baton Rouge; parents, John and Gerry Landry Rogers, of White Castle; grandmothers, Gertie Landry and Evelyn Dunnehoo, both of White Castle; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Tony Collins, of Thibodaux; niece and goddaughter, Chloe Collins, of Thibodaux; and nephew, Brett Collins, of Thibodaux. Preceded in death by her grandfather, Lawless Landry. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, White Castle on Monday, Feb. 20, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Tom Ranzino, celebrant. Pallbearers will be Tony Collins, Craig Brouillette, Wilfred Daigle, Kenneth Sanchez, Don Cassano, Ronald Brouillette, Andrew Brouillette and Matthew Brouillette.
