Margaret Dixon

A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Galvez, she passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at age 88. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Doval and Joy V. Dixon; brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Bena Cappo; grandchildren, Donna White and husband Nathan, John Dixon and wife Danielle, Dina Nunez and husband Dwayne, and Jason Dixon; great-grandchildren, Erin LaLonde and husband Corey, Ryan and Randi Ingram, Clint White, Sarah Williams and husband Michael, Daniel Dixon, Blair Gautreau, Blake Nunez, Jas and Bella Dixon; great-great-grandchildren, Blaise LaLonde and Aiden Williams; sister-in-law, Cecile Cappo, of Prairieville; brother-in-law, Jim Robertson, of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Doval Dixon Sr.; parents, Frank and Mary Scardina Cappo; brothers, Russell, Harry and Dominick Cappo; sisters, Evelyn Moran and Marie Robertson; and a great-great-granddaughter, our little angel, Grace Margaret LaLonde. Pallbearers will be John Dixon, Jason Dixon, Ryan Ingram, Daniel Dixon, Jim Robertson, Dee Cappo, Clint White and Corey LaLonde. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Sunday, Feb. 20, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 5 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Monday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales, at 11 a.m. Interment in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
