Maxine Glaze

Maxine Marchand Glaze passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 surrounded by her family, at the age of 90. She was a native of Duplessis, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA. Maxine was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a faithful, sweet, loving servant of the Lord and blessed many with her kind soul. She is survived by her daughters, Ongel Aldridge (Greg) and Chetta Hudson (Timothy); sons, S. Zane Glaze (Cynthia), Kane P. Glaze, Sr. (Anita), Lane E. Glaze (Mary Ann), John S. Glaze III (Karen); and sister, Faye Marchand Berteau. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John S. Glaze, Jr. and her parents, Herbert and Elphy Blouin Marchand.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Gathering on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will be conducted by her son, Kane Glaze, Sr. Interment will take place at Household of Faith Cemetery, 10469 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Zane Glaze, Kane Glaze, Lane Glaze, Johnny Glaze, Greg Carr, and Timothy Hudson.
