Michael Wayne Guedry Jr.

A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of St. Amant, LA., Michael passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 in St. Amant at the age of 42.. Michael was a piping superintendent for Volks Construction in Prairieville, La. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant from 9:00 AM until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM celebrated by Rev. Michael Galea. Burial will follow at Cornerview Cemetery in Gonzales.

Michael is survived by his fiance': Tonya Johnston and her daughter Bree Babin, his mother: Debrah Berteau, his grandmother: Jessie Guedry, 2 daughters: Morgan Guedry and Ashlyn Guedry, 1 son: Brett Guedry and his fiance' Shay Tate, 1 sister: Jodi Guedry Richard and 2 grandchildren: Tyler Bercegeay and Mya Guedry. Michael is preceded in death by his father: Michael Wayne Guedry, Sr., grandparents: Herman Guedry, Huey Berteau, Jewel Fife Berteau and Malcolm Lee Wascom, father-in-law: Michael Wayne Rhorer, uncle: Timothy Guedry and aunt: Janet James.

Pallbearers will be Jason Jacob, Michael Davis, Jessie James, Jr., Brad Gaudin, Gary Hebert, Jr. and Lane Richard. Michael loved fishing, hunting, camping, jambalaya cook-offs, spending time with his family and friends, his 4 legged furry friends and his job.
