

Michael Rabb Rivault passed away on October 4, 2024 at the age of 73. He was born in Baton Rouge, La and has been a longtime resident of Gonzales, La. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud PawPaw and friend to many. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 42 years Helen Rivault; daughter Debbie Crosby (Don); two sons, Kenny Mangrum (Debbie) and David Mangrum; 8 grandchildren, Anna Warrington (Jay), Amber Sarapin (Taras), Arika Howell (Mike), Jesse Mangrum (Alyssa), Kristin Petitto (Andrew), Seth Mangrum, Megan Braud (Casey) and Raely Mangrum; 20 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Paige & Braeden Spence; Jera Warrington; Ava, Bennett, Everly & Talia Sarapin; Tiernan and Conor Howell; Jaiden, Roman and Mia Mangrum; Miller Petitto; Easton Mangrum; Zaylee & Maylee Braud; Bryceson & Kaceson Breaux and Addison Rouyea and one great-great granddaughter Aria Spence Roberts. He is also survived by his sisters, Charlotte Landry (Wayne), Inez Banker (Woody) and Winifred Kennison (James); his Godchild, David Landry and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles “Sonny” & Inez Rivault and his siblings Glenda Sholar and Charles Rivault. Michael graduated from East Ascension High School. He then went to Southeastern Louisiana University where he received his BA in Psychology. He truly loved to travel; his trips to Oregon and a special trip to Alaska were among his highlights. Above all else, he loved his family and being the best PawPaw to all of his grandchildren. His warm smile and countless memories of laughter will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Highway 73, Prairieville, Louisiana 70769 on Friday, October 11, 2024 visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with Mass at 11:00 AM. A burial will follow at Cornerview Cemetery, 38161 Cornerview Rd., Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jesse Mangrum, Seth Mangrum, Andrew Petitto, Bryceson Breaux, Kaceson Breaux, James Kennison Jr., Brian Sholar and Ray Banker.
