A native of Louisiana and a resident of Tuscumbia, Ala., he passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at his home. He was 42. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Tuesday, June 15, from 9 a.m. until services at noon. Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by sons, Michael Shane Smith Jr. and Nicholas Smith; his mother, Catherine Barnett Smith; father and stepmother, Doler C. Jr. and Theresa Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Wade Stiles; nephews, Jordan Smith and Preston Stiles; and also a special friend, his “Angel”; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jody Smith; maternal grandparents, William and Mary B. Barnett; paternal grandparents, Doler C.
