Newton Leroy Elliott

Newton (Leroy) Elliott passed away June 19, 2016 at the age of 74. Leroy was a native of Bastrop, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA. He was an Army veteran, a self-employed truck driver and a lifetime member of the NRA. Survived by Madeline Firmin Elliott, his wife of 44 years; step-daughter Kasey (Mark) Chesne of Prairieville, LA; step-sons Kent (Ellen) Maddie of Houston, TX, Kevin (Cindy) Maddie of Prairieville, LA, Keith (Yvette) Maddie of St. Amant, LA; sons Newton Blaine Elliott and Leroy Steven Elliott; sisters Dorothy Chapman and Betty Gobert both of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren Wesley Maddie, Laurel Maddie and Quinton Chesne. Preceded in death by his parents Harion Leroy Elliott and Betty Louise Roark Elliott and brother Jerry Elliott. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 1PM until religious services beginning at 3PM at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA by Rev. Larry Molliere followed by Entombment in Hope Haven Cemetery Mausoleum in Prairieville, LA. Pallbearers will be Kent Maddie, Kevin Maddie, Keith Maddie, Mark Chesne, Wesley Maddie and Quinton Chesne.
