Peggy H. Meyers

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was rooted in family, faith, and community. She shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Darrell Meyers, Sr., building a legacy of love and strength that will continue through generations.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Meyers, Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Teleah and Daniel Martin; her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell Meyers II and Ashley Meyers; and her cherished grandchildren, Dannah Martin Hartwick (Francis), Bentley Meyers, Braxton Meyers, and Aydrie Meyers. She is also survived by her sister, Jo Ann and Richard “Dickie” Buhler; her brothers, Darrell and Robin Hughes, and Danny and Tammy Hughes; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Linda Meyers, Linda and Joey Perricone, and Sherri and Ricky Aime; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley “DJ” Hughes and Laverne McMorris Hughes; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Valmon “VJ” Meyers and Vera Taylor Meyers; and her nephew, Travis Wheat.

Services to honor Peggy’s life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Midway Baptist Church, 27264 S. Satsuma Road, Livingston, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Peggy will be laid to rest beside her parents at Hughes Cemetery.

Peggy will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her kind spirit, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured always.
