Peggy Stevens

Peggy Nickens Stevens passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the age of 85. She was a native and resident of Gonzales, LA. Peggy received a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and worked as a teacher. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Stevens Carter (Tony); granddaughter, Sarah Clemmons; Great grandchildren, Colten Jess Davis and Ezra Carter Ashmore. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Curtis Stevens; parents, Ambrose and Leona Nickens; and brothers, I.B. Nickens and A.V. Nickens Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Colten J. Davis, Dean Nickens, William Thomas Williams III, William Thomas Williams II, Johnathan Nickens, Brennan Howell and honorary pallbearer, Larry Howell.
