Raymond Ficklin age 84 and a resident of Prairieville, La passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He loved working in his garden, and spending time at the hunting camp, hunting. He enjoyed fishing trips, his family and Jesus. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Thibeau Ficklin; 2 sons, Kendall Ficklin and Kevin Ficklin; 2 daughters, Ashley Parrott and Karen Devall (Stephen); 2 brothers, Arthur Ficklin (Audrey), and Larry Ficklin (Nina); 2 sisters, Jeanette Dixon and Dianne Roll (Ted); grandchildren, Kristen Benedetto (Jesse), Rhagen Lastrapes (Michel), Ryan Ficklin (Brandi), Koby Ficklin (Brendi), Payten Leblanc, Katelyn and Jenna Devall; great grandchildren, Jonah, Cullen and Brady Benedetto, Knoll Ficklin, Rowe and Nixon Lastrapes, Wesley and Wyatt Ficklin, Lillie Richardson, Kai and Kolsyn Ficklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory Sr., and Mary Poche Ficklin; son, Kyle Ray Ficklin; siblings, Peggy Mayers, Emory Ficklin Jr., Faye Thomas, Cherry James, Judy Roddy, Eva Dixon and Lutretia Broussard. Services for Raymond will be held on Thursday, Sept 4, 2025, at Carpenters Chapel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am, conducted by Pastor Terry Nelson, and Pastor Larry Ficklin. Pallbearers will be Ryan Ficklin, Koby Ficklin, Jesse Benedetto, Michel Lastrapes, Chad Buratt, Daryl Finnerty, Jonah Benedetto, Knoll Ficklin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wesley Ficklin, Wyatt Ficklin, Kai Ficklin.
