

Robert “Bob” “Pop” Wolfe Allen, a resident of St. Amant, LA and native of New Orleans, LA, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Born on September 22, 1926 in Baton Rouge to Marie Josephine Landry Wolfe and John David Wolfe, Sr. Bob was a WWII army veteran, a singer songwriter and business owner. Beloved husband to Sylvia Comeaux Allen for 57 years when she passed away in August of 2014.
In his early years, Bob was a Country Music Band Leader and played with legendary artist, Ernest Tubb, Jack Green, and performed at the Grand Ole Opry.
Bob was a member of the New River Masonic Lodge and Acacia Shrine. In previous years he was a member of the Shriners Oriental Band and Dune Buggy Crew.
Robert is survived by his children Deborah “Deb” Allen Eiermann (Keith), son, Glen Allen, grandson, Kevin Anthony Eiermann (Chelsey). Step grandchildren, Savannah Ann LeBlanc and Julis Pearce Motichek, former daughter in law, Joni Allen. As well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sylvia “Tibby” Comeaux Allen, parents, John David Wolfe, Sr. and Marie Landry Wolfe, siblings, John David Wolfe, Jr. Hazel Marie Wolfe Duplantis, Wilfred J. Wolfe, Clayton A. Wolfe, and Infant, Wade Wolfe.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life which will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to be followed by a Christian Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 604 E Hwy 30, Gonzales, LA 70737. Please feel free to wear your purple and gold or black and gold in honor of Bob’s “Pop’s” love of LSU and Saints football.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Keith Eiermann, Kevin Eiermann, Johnny Reynolds, Grady Stratton, Teddy Boyd, and Andy Scherer. Honorary pallbearers include, Wil Duplantis and Julis P. Motichek.
