A former insulator with Local 53, an insurance agent and a car salesman, he met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 63, a resident of Gonzales and a native of Lake. He was a veteran of the Louisiana National Guard. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, Sept. 16, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m., with Pastor Danny LeBlanc and Brother Bobby Reddy officiating. Burial in Carpenters Chapel Cemetery, Galvez. He is survived by his fiancé, Anita Naquin; two daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Nickens Billeaudeaux and Terry Billeaudeaux, and Lauren Naquin; son and daughter-in-law, Brady Nickens and Amanda; sister, Patty Chauvin and husband Leon; brother, Robert Nickens and wife Theresa; and six grandchildren, DeShara and Bralee Nickens, Harley and Blakely Smith, Mandy and Seth Gomon.
