Ruby Lachney Turner

Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Ruby M. Lachney Turner, age 73, at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 and resuming on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time. A native of Marksville and resident of Gonzales, Mrs. Turner passed away at 7:45 am on Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group. She was a homemaker who loved to craft and especially enjoyed crocheting. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Shalane T. Fenley and husband Gordon; son, James Turner; sisters, Dora Dauzat, Jeanette Lachney, Veronica Lee; grandchildren, Madelynn Fenley, Kaitlynn Fenley, Kellsey F. Beck and husband Alex, Brandon Turner, Byron Turner, Grace Turner and great-grandchild, Rayne Beck. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Turner and parents, Elphege and Mary Lachney. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Magnolia Assisted Living and New Century Hospice for the compassion and care they provided to Mrs. Turner.
