Ruth Margaret Babin Kennison

Ruth is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Winifred Kennison, Prairieville, and Danny and Frances Kennison, Cameroon, Africa; two daughters and sons-in law, Jean and Gary Guidry, St. Amant, and Lynn and Maurice Witmer, St. Amant; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; James Jr. and Janet Kennison, Jill K. and Robert Schexnailder, Rhett Kennison, Dana and Max Schiele, Lana and Ron LeBlanc, Neil and Paula Hoover, Wesley and Katie Kennison, Tyler and Jenny Kennison, Sherry and Tommy Hogan, and Scott Witmer; 17 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert E. Kennison Jr.; two daughters, Jo Ellen and Patricia (Patsy) Gail Kennison; grandson, Brady Paul Kennison; parents, Richard Joseph and Harriet Braud Babin; two brothers, Ben R. and Lee Ollen Babin; and two sisters, Lura Babin Koenig and Bulah Babin.

Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m., with the Rev. Eric Gyan, celebrant. Interment will follow in Prairieville Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, James Kennison Jr., Rhett Kennison, Wesley Kennison, Tyler Kennison, Neil Hoover, and Tommy Hogan. Honorary pallbearer will be Scott Witmer.
