Shannon Romeo Desharnais

Shannon Romeo Desharnais was born on April 24, 1971 and sadly departed at the age of 50. He was a native of Edmonton Alberta, Canada and a resident of Prairieville, LA. After graduating high school, he received his bachelors’ degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. He later went to LSU of New Orleans to receive his Master's in Nursing to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Shannon was a very kind hearted man, always willing to help others, had a beautiful smile, a laugh and sense of humor that no one could ever forget. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Blanca Desharnais and sons, Miguel & Diego Desharnais; Parents, Romeo & Judy Desharnais; Sister, Barbara Shavchook and her husband Ron Shavchook; Sister-in-law, Cindy Ramirez and her husband David Narinesingh; Brother-in-law Carlos Ramirez. He also leaves behind many beautiful nephews, Ryan & Evan Shavchook, Krishan Soni, Lorenzo Narinesingh, Benicio & Santiago & Amadeo Ramirez; and numerous family and friends. Family and friends of Shannon are invited to attend the Visitation on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 10am-12pm at Ourso Funeral Home-Gonzales with services immediately following.
