Whether you called her mom, MawMaw, GiGi, sister or friend you knew you were loved unconditionally by her. Shirley enjoyed many things in life but nothing quite compared to the love she had for spending time with her family. Throughout her life she made sure that God and family bonds were always in the forefront by taking her sons to family reunions when they were younger, traveling back to Canada several of times to visit or just being present in all of her grandchildren’s lives. She had a way of always making sure everybody else was taken care of before herself. Her beautiful painting will always be cherished for years to come. Just as Shirley hated to say goodbye, this has been the hardest goodbye for all of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Thursday, May 4, 2023 beginning at 2PM with a service to be held at 5pm.
