Susie Perkins Terry

GONZALES – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Susie Perkins Terry, age 94, at 12:00 pm Friday, June 20, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home with Bro. John Carrigan officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, June 20th.

A native of Anguila, Mississippi and a resident of Gonzales, Mrs. Terry passed away at 11:42 pm on Monday, June 16, 2014 at her residence.

She is survived by her daughters, Alguria Terry, Italia Gautreau, Yvonne McLaurin, Ann Paille and husband Bobby, Debra Bonifay and husband Mike; sons, Edward Terry and wife Brenda, Millard Terry, Michael Terry; sister-in-law, Hazel Perkins, 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram “Red” Terry; parents, Jessie and Blanche Perkins; grandson, Jerry Drago; sons-in-law, Edward “Tut” Gautreau, Percy “Bro” Melancon, John McLaurin; brothers, Wallace Perkins, Newton Perkins, Clyde Perkins and sisters-in-law Lucy Dale and Ola Mae Perkins.

Mrs. Terry’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 17450 Old Jefferson Hwy, Prairieville, LA 70769.
