

Terry Wayne Roussel, 80, of Prairieville, Louisiana, was born on December 15, 1944, to O’Leary Roussel and Dorothy Roussel in Norco, Louisiana, and was called to his eternal home on August 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He married the love of his life, Amanda LeBlanc Roussel, on June 20, 1998. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
After graduating high school, Terry enlisted in the United States Navy. He was proud of his country and served in the Vietnam War. After serving in the military, Terry began his career as a millwright mechanic and worked for GATX and Turner Industries, from which he retired.
Terry found joy in the simple things in life and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, LSU baseball and Saints Football and most importantly spending time with his family. He was also a master gardener through LSU. Over the years he has grown numerous gardens for his family members. Terry loved making homemade wine from the fruit that he grew himself.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda LeBlanc Roussel; sons, Terry Roussel Jr. (Sherry) and Chad Roussel; stepdaughters, Denise James (Richard) and Donna Kling (Jeff); grandchildren, Caleb Roussel, Kalee Zamora (Alex), Jared Willhite, Tristan Roussel, Kadence Roussel; step grandchildren, Richard James Jr. (Rani), Ty James (Brandi), Brandon Kling (Sam) and Brittney Kling; eight great grandchildren, who he absolutely adored and siblings, Barry Roussel and Karen Pfister and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, O’Leary Roussel and Dorothy Roussel; stepson, Thomas Michael Kenney Jr. and sister, Brenda Duhe.
Those who knew Terry will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, his deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
A visitation will be held on August 12, 2025 from 10:00-11:00AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy 429, St. Amant, LA, 70774. Mass will begin at 11:00AM.
