

As one always says as one path ends, another begins. On Wednesday, March 16, 2016, Thompson Brown Jr. was called to begin his other path at the age of 65. He was a man who loved duck hunting, fishing, playing softball and golf. Thompson's blue eyes could make anyone smile. He was a man who never met a stranger. Thompson was retired from BASF in supervision. He served as a medic in the United States Air Force. Thompson is survived by wife, Claire; his two daughters and son-in-laws: Darah and Randy Delaneuville, Darci and Scott Landry. His loving five granddaughters: Randi, Blakeli, Rilan, Kaydi and Kyndall, his mother, Mayola Braud Brown, sister Kathleen Daniel, sister and brother in law Adele and Ronnie Frederic, brother and sister in law William and Janine Brown, brother in law and sister in law, Richard and Shari Paxton. He is preceded in death by his father, Thompson Brown Sr. and father and mother in law, Buck and Rita Paxton, and brother in law, Harry Daniel. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home Sunday, March 20, from 5 pm to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Evangelist, Prairieville, on Monday at 10 am, celebrated by Rev. Jerry Martin. He will be laid to rest at Oaklane Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Randy Delaneuville, Scott Landry, William Brown, Ronnie Frederic, John Edwards, Richard Paxton. Honorary Pallbearers: Harold "Lou" Braud, James "Goosie" Guice, Bob "Ham" Hamilton, Troy Paxton, Chase Nicosia. We would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all the individuals who cared for and supported Thompson and his family and have touched his and our lives on his last nine-year journey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Theresa Middle and St. John Primary School. "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love" (1 Corinthians 13:13).
