Wilfred Paul “Geefoo” Duplessis, Jr., native of Geismar, LA and resident of Duplessis, LA passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the age of 82. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Business from McNeese State Univeristy and retired as a machinist and lab technician. He served as past Grand Knight of KC Council 8342 and earned the Allied Chemical Attendance Award for 36 years with no days absent, received KC Family of the Year award and KC Knight of the Year award. Paul is survived by his wife Glenda Nugent Duplessis; sons, Jeffery Lynn Duplessis and wife Nelly Duplessis, David Bryan Duplessis and wife Torrie Amedee Duplessis; grandchildren, Bryan, Alyssa, Peyton, Dru, Tiggy and Jase Duplessis and sisters, Sister Denise “Helen” Duplessis, Jackie Sanefer, Karin Duplessis and Sheily D. Bell. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, W. P. Tiggy and Thelma Duplessis and sister Jean Ann Duplessis. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 4PM until 8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 9:30AM, celebrated by Father Martin. Pallbearers will be Patrick Bell, Jr., Brady Bell, Dale Boudreaux, Aaron Smiley, Bryan Duplessis and Peyton Duplessis. Honorary pallbearers will be Tiggy Duplessis, Jase Duplessis, Doc Scholer and David Guidry. Thanks to the staff at Crossroads Hospice.
