William Billy, Billy Mac H McCoy

Died peacefully in his sleep at his home, June 13, 2016. A native of Reeves, Allen Parish, LA and a lifelong resident of Gonzales, LA. A retired cable splicer with 33 years of service for Bell Telephone Co., Baton Rouge, LA. Son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Dexter McCoy.

United in marriage 61 years ago to Marie Louise Powers who survives him. The father of four sons and their families: Michael of New Orleans; Mark and Karen and their children, Benjamin (Erika) and Amanda (B. J. Delaune); John Randall and Tyra and their children Kelsey, all of St. Amant, LA, Justin (Rene’) of Brusly, LA and Jason (Amanda) of Anchorage, AK; Robert Neal and Kacee and their children Ian and Travis of Gonzales, LA. Eight great-grandchildren: Paxton McCoy, Collin and James Delaune of St. Amant, LA, Mylie Mykael and Vivie Marie McCoy of Brusly, LA and Jaxton, Kaleb and Kolby McCoy of Anchorage, AK. Also survived by his sister Dorothy McCoy Goff of Tifton, GA and his brother and sister-in-law Allen James and Betty McCoy of Livingston, LA. Several nieces and nephews and special love ones Dale Norris and his daughter Sarah. Son-in-law of the late William I. and Louise Millet Powers. Also preceding him in death was a special great niece, Alison Goff Passmore and nephew Wesley Melancon. Special thanks go out to the caregivers: Dawn, Nedra and Melodie of the Council of Aging. Generation and New Century Hospice members: Latarsha, Brother Billy, Stormy, Anna, Megan and all the others that assisted. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home Friday, June 17 from 8AM – 10AM, service at 10AM Rev. Billy Minyard will officiate, burial will follow in the Lake Community Cemetery, St. Amant, LA.
