

Winton John “T-Wayne” Lavigne, native and resident of Gonzales, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at the age of 70. A talented wood worker, mechanic and jack of all trades. He loved fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
T-Wayne is survived by his 2 daughters, Shannon Marie Guidry and husband Shane, Brandi Lee Lavigne and fiance’ Charles Disedare; son, Ty Michael Lavigne and wife Shannon T. Lavigne; sisters, Debra Bayles and JoAnn Longanecker; brothers, Mark, Troy and Tony Lavigne and Stanley Villneurve; mother-in-law, Theresa Bourgeois; 10 grandchildren, Chase Lavigne and spouse Mariett, Chet Lavigne, Kelsey Lambert and fiance’ Beau Delatte, Michael Lavigne, Brayson Coughlin, Hayley Lavigne, Jaci Lavigne, Haleigh and Dakota Guidry and Storie Ratcliff; 6 great-grandchildren, Masen, Collen, Cohen and Nolan Delatte, Madison Meyers and Jayce Price. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Bourgeois Lavigne; adoptive parents, Joseph and Earline Lambert Lavigne; birth parents, Winton Haydel, Sr. and Lois Crochet Haydel; sister, Cecile Keller and father-in-law, Paul V. Bourgeois.
Visitation on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home from 6:00PM – 8:00PM and will resume at St. Mark Catholic Church on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9:00AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, celebrated by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Interment to follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Prairieville. Pallbearers will be Michael Lavigne, Chet Lavigne, Chase Lavigne, Beau Delatte, Mark Lavigne, Troy Lavigne, Tony Lavigne and Dustin Villneurve.
