Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on September 16, 2020 at 10:00 am at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waelder, Texas with Father Jason Martini officiating. Interment will follow at Waelder Community Cemetery in Waelder, Texas. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Buffington Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday with Reverend Gabriel Cedillo officiating.
Epifanio was born on April 7, 1943 in Waelder, Texas. He was the son of Cirildo and Julia (Tenorio) Cedillo. Epifanio married Ramona Hernandez on March 4, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas. Epifanio enjoyed playing music. He was talented and could play the Drums, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, and the accordion. He liked singing and dancing as well. He loved children so much that he drove the school bus for forty years. He loved his family and grandchildren.
Epifanio is survived by; four sons; Carlos Cedillo of Waelder, Texas, Epifanio Cedillo, Jr. and his wife, Crystal of Waelder, Texas. Gabriel Cedillo and his wife, Teresa of Austin, Texas, Mario Cedillo of Waelder, Texas, two daughters; Virginia Cedillo of Waelder, Texas, Pauline Cantu and her husband, Ignasio of Austin, Texas, eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Cirildo and Julia Cedillo, his wife, Ramona Cedillo, one son; Raynaldo Cedillo, one brother; Carlos Cedillo, two sisters; Aurora Rocha, and Jovita Ortiz.
Pallbearers for Mr. Cedillo will be; Jon Orozco, Frank Sanchez, Kevin Boedeker, Daniel Cedillo, Francisco “Danny” Rincon, and Felix Cedillo.
