Guadalupe was born on May 17, 1939 in Rio Hondo, Texas. He was the son of Jose and Virginia (Ayala) Ramos. He married Luisa Aguilar on May 2, 1965 in San Benito, Texas. He worked as a Migrant Worker for 35 years, and then worked at the fish hatchery for 16 years until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed caring for his vegetable garden and his grape vines. He liked to go fishing, when he was younger, he would go to bed early and get up early to go fishing. He liked to work on his cars, but most of all, he liked to sit in the garden with his wife and watch the birds.
Mr. Ramos is survived by his loving wife of 51 years; Luisa Ramos, two sons; Lupe Ramos, Jr. and his wife, Heather of Caldwell Idaho, Joe Ramos of Waelder, Texas, two daughters; Mary Lou Ramos of Waelder, Texas, Suli Ramos of Jerome Idaho, six brothers; Manuel Ramos and his wife, Janie of Rio Hondo, Texas, Raul Ramos of Rio Hondo, Texas, Rodolpho Ramos of Rio Hondo, Texas, Ruben Ramos and his wife, Norma of Rio Hondo, Texas, Ray Ramos and his wife, Ninfa of Rio Hondo, Texas, Robert Ramos and his wife, Alicia of Harlingen, Texas, three sisters; Juanita Manis of Kentucky, Antonia Martinez and her husband, Manuel of Rio Hondo, Texas, Rosie Garza and her husband, Lalo of California, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Jose and Virginia Ramos, one sister; Louise Agular, and one granddaughter; Maricela Melendez.
