Mrs. Juanita Janie Ortiz Villanueva

Janie Villanueva, 65, of Gonzales, Texas passed away Thursday morning on August 26, 2010. Janie Villanueva was born on Tuesday, October 3, 1944, in Cost, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her mother Manuela Deleon-Ortiz, daughter Maria Villanueva, and brother Lorenzo Ortiz.

Janie was a wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by husband Antonio Villanueva, one son Joseph Villanueva, one daughter, JoAnn Villanueva, one brother Pedro Ortiz, all of Gonzales, TX; two sisters: Georgina Ortiz and Sipriana Rivera both of San Antonio, TX; and one grandchild John Manual Rivera Jr.

Visitation services are for noon, 12:00 P.M. Sunday, August 29, 2010, with Rosary following at 7:00 P.M. held at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, TX. Mass Services held for Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, TX with Father Paul Razz officiating. Interment to follow at the St. James Catholic Cemetery of Gonzales, TX.
