

Preceded in death by his parents, Armanda Lackey Brannon and Erbie Thomas Scoggins; 3 brothers, Tommy, J.R. and Frank Scoggins and 1 sister, Peggy Johnson; survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Margie” Vollan Scoggins of Goodlettsville; 4 sons, Donald (Sharon) Scoggins, Alan (Sylvia High) Scoggins, Randy (Lisa Whited), Robert (Cheryl) Scoggins and daughter, Karla Scoggins; sisters, Evelyn (Roy) Barber and Carolyn (Luke) Garrett; grandchildren, Christopher Scoggins, Amanda Johnson, Jessi (Aaron) Eby, Brandi Kirkman, Margaret Ann Scoggins, Anthony Adams and Michael Whited; great-grandchildren, Savanah Johnson, Braydon Johnson, Railynn Hutchinson, Autumn Kirkman, Georgia Kirkman and Kaylee Reasoner. Don worked as a Systems Analyst for Oman Construction Co. for over 40 years, also worked for Opryland Theme Park and Piggly Wiggly. He was involved in the Boy Scouts, Shooting Stars Square Dance Club, Senior Citizens, Builders Sunday School Class for Connell Memorial United Methodist Church and VFW. Don served his country in the US Air Force as a Staff Sargeant Radio Operator, and was shot down while completing over 31 Missions in Korea. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Paul Gardner on Friday, December 30th at 2:00 PM, with visitation Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and 2 hours prior to service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels for the Connell Memorial United Methodist Church.
