Pete was a Nashville native and a graduate of East High School. He loved telling stories of his childhood and growing up with his siblings and his dog Curly. He was employed by various places in Nashville including Berry Wholesole Drug Company, Dupont, Peterbilt, Lifeway, and Dell. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, writing poetry, country music, a good meat and three restaurant, cheering for the Vanderbilt Commodores, a strong cup of coffee, yard sales, antique stores, and flea markets. He was often the first customer at yard sales with a flashlight looking for the early bird deal.
He enjoyed many trips with Cherry, Drew, and Emily including out west, the beach, Canada and Gatlinburg. He loved going to Cades Cove to count the wildlife and driving the loop, often more than once. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who he called Pa’s pals. He always enjoyed a good joke and never met a stranger. After retirement, He enjoyed volunteering with meals on wheels. Most importantly, He loved the Lord and is so happy to be reunited with his wife Cherry and have the grand reunion.
