Joyce, I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom.  She was an extraordinary woman.  I consider myself very fortunate to have been under her ministry and your dad's for several years.  Both your mom and dad had a great influence on my life through their lives and ministry.  She was a beautiful, fun-loving, person in addition to being a dedicated minister of God.  She will always be remembered in our hearts.   Even though you are happy she is in the arms of Jesus and reunited with your dad and family, I know it leaves a hole in your heart that she is not physically with you and you will miss her.  You and your family will be in my prayers to help you through this time of loss.

Heaven is rejoicing now that Sister Blythe has joined them and saying well done! What a joy and a treasure to have known her even the short time I did. Blessings to you and all the family

I'm very sorry for your loss. Sis. Blytheville was such a joy to be around. I had the privilege of waiting on her and her family many times at Olive Garden she always gave me a hug and made me smile. You will be missed.

So many good times in Clarksville, Tennessee at the WM/Missionettes rallies. She knew what she wanted to happen in those services and she always made sure it did. The teamwork of her and Sis Janet Jackson was awesome. She made you feel special. At the time of my 6th daughter getting crowned Honor Star, I too was working on mine. When it was accomplished, she brought our whole family to the stage. She even complimented my husband on always being there to walk his daughters down that aisle and for keeping them in church to do God's work. We are thankful, Sis Blythe was in our life and will be forever grateful for her dedication to girls and women across our Nation and most of all, her dedication to our Savior, Jesus Christ. May God richly bless you all and peace be with you.

To the family   Thank you for sharing this precious saint with the rest of us .I went as a troubled teen to stay with her and Bro.Schaffer at the time I thought they were very "different". Thirty years later she led me to the Lord and praise God I am now very "different" too.Thank you again Jimmy and Joyce and family.

Penny and Cande, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Grandmother. I pray the Lord gives each of you Peace, Comfort and Strength.

Sister Blythe was one of the sweetest and most Godly woman I ever was around. Her class was always fun to attend and she always remembered everyone she met. God Blessed her daily with wisdom.

This family opened their hearts and home to my family long before I was old enough to understand what a blessing it was. I will never forget the sacred fellowship mixed and fun. When we were kids Sister Schaffer-Blythe used to have lots of hair that she kept up in a bee-hive-like bun, she used lots of bobby-pins. After she would preach one of her pentecostal sermons me and the other children would go and collect bobby pins from the platform and see who could gather the most. I thank God for the hope of the resurrection.

Wayne and I have been so blessed to have known Sis Schaffer Blythe.  We have known her for over 50 years. Wayne helped start Teen Challenge of Chattanooga in 1978.  I remember that when she was WM Director for the state of Tennessee, she had the ladies of TN give linens and food items to Teen Challenge of Chattanooga.  She had a real passion for missionaries.  We are so thankful to have had this great lady, as an example of loving God and others, in our lives.

What a true Blessing to have had such an amazing Woman, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, and Most importantly Preacher for the Most High God!!!! There surely is NO HIGHER CALLING but to have worked in His Most Highs Vineyard. The precious souls impacted for His Glory show her love and commitment to the Lord of Lords, our SAVIOUR Jesus Christ.
Although Sal and I realize such a loss, she is now made incorruptible by our Lord and Saviour, released from this temporary vessel, on streets of pure Gold embraced by all who have gone before and into the presense of Jesus Christ. I will never forget how she impacted my life with the messages God gave her and that she obediently preached. My life was deeply enriched and I thank God for allowing me to have had the opportunity to know this true woman of God. My prayers and condolences are with all the family and friends that are saddened with her passing. She will be greatly missed.

Thank God for a Precious and Godly woman I loved her so much she will be greatly missed, praying for the family but we know she is in a better place.

Joyce and family my prayers are with you.  She was such a blessing to so many people all over the world but to me she was just my "Aunt Jane" a very loving Aunt who will be in my heart forever.  My favorite story about Aunt Jane and her sister, my mother Ethel, was when Mother would play the piano when Aunt Jane would travel to different places to minister to the people and how she had to wake Mother up at the end of the sermon to play.

In the days and weeks ahead, know that we are praying for your family. We are here to serve you. We love you and are thankful that God has allowed us to worship with you. Thank you for sharing your precious "Grandma" with us. We can only imagine the joy she is expressing now! We will miss sitting behind her in church and breathing in the sweet aroma of the Holy Spirit that seemed to flow from her. May God comfort you in the way that only he can.

I often reflect on my childhood growing up under the pastoral leadership of Bro. and Sis. Shaffer(as we knew her).  That was something special that money nor riches could ever buy or replace.  The largest stadium in the world couldn't contain the souls to which she ministered.  All of us who were fortunate enough to know her were blessed by God because she was a faithful and obedient servant to His service.  We were all loved by Him through her.
