Alice Ann Pentecost Shelton

Alice Ann Pentecost Shelton, 80, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. Born Thursday, June 4, 1936 in Robertson County, TN she is preceded in death by her parents, George Martin and Addie Chance Pentecost; husband, James W. Shelton; brothers, George Martin Pentecost, Jr., Joel Edward Pentecost, James Henry Pentecost, John Robert Pentecost; sisters, Lola Belle Pentecost Shelton, Mary Frances Pentecost Dennison and Sally Catherine Pentecost Peach.

She was a long time member of Old Campbell Road Church of Christ and was a Beloved Mother and Grandmother with a heart of Gold. She provided a foster home for many others along the way and has many others that thought of her as a second mom.

She is survived by her son, Edward Wayne (Lisa) Ezell, daughter, Denise Ezell (Bob) Williams; their father, Melvin A. Ezell; brother, Billy (Linda) Pentecost; grandchildren, Philip Wayne (Jamie) Ezell, Joshua Robert (Megan) Baulch, Jessica Layne Ezell, Ryan Alexander Ezell, Jessica Coradini (Ethan) White, Wesley Coradini, Bobbie Reyna and Wesley Williams; great-grandchildren, Karlee Elizabeth Ezell, Dallas Wayne Ezell, Kaitlyn Romer, Chandler Grace Baulch, Adrian Reyna, Hannah Johnson, Brayden Williams, Hunter White; her beloved longtime friend, Bill Hendricks.

A special thanks to a beautiful nurse from NHC Cool Springs, Amber Lauer, and all the wonderful staff.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Shelton at a visitation Monday, January 30, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 and Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 11:00 until 1:00 at Forest Lawn.

A celebration of life will be conducted 1:00 Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Rev. Jeff Dewees. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
