I am so sorry to hear this news. I had the privelege of meeting my third cousin Paul a few years ago and he was so talented with music. May the Lord look over the family and hold Paul in his arms.

In loving memory of my nephew, Paul. We will love you and miss you always.  Although your journey here on earth was short, there is peace in knowing you have been welcomed to a better place by those who have passed before you.  I will hold special memories of you in my heart.  You were loved and your presence will be missed.  Today we celebrate your life with cherished memories and music in your honor.  I can only imagine the heavenly music you now enjoy.  Music and faith will remain our connection.

Paul-- Where do I start... I am so thankful and blessed that you were my cousin. We were like brother and sister rather than cousins though. I will always remember our endless hours of gaming, music and laughter. You were never any different to me. No matter what you were always the same Paul I grew up with. Rest easy now. We love you and miss you.

Paul, We know you journey was filled with potholes. Only you could know the torment of the drive. You are now on a smooth highway with no delay headed for that final rest stop.
We treasure the good times we had with you.

PHELPS, Bennie Paul, age 33, died August 24, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Phelps, Jr., and mother, Judy Gail Clodfelter.  He is survived by his sisters, Carrie (Michael) Humphreys-Himmel; Lawanda Joy (Jason) Balch, and Kathy Marie Barclay; grandparents Ben and Cozell Phelps; aunts, uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends.  A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, September 6 at 2:00 PM  by Leslie Chapman and Stan Cunningham at Northside Church of Christ, 1375 Old Hickory Blvd.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Golden Age Scholarship Fund, Northside Church of Christ.
