WAKEFIELD, Billy Nixon, age 78 passed away on December 2, 2011 in Gallatin, TN. Preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Wakefield; parents, George E. Wakefield and Clara Nixon Wakefield; brother, George Wakefield, Jr.; sister, Opal Sutton survived by sons, Michael (Suzanne) Capps, Danny Capps, Billy Dale (Beth)Wakefield, Terry (Melissa) Wakefield; daughter, Sharon(Art) Cone; sisters, Jean Weaver, Martha (Bill) Fry; ten grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are nephews, honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Filson, F.W. Primrose, Johnny Vaughn and a special thanks to Sally with High Point Hospice, Gallatin Health Care Center and Sumner Regional Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Tim Fry on Monday December 5 at 2:00 PM, with visitation Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 at Forest Lawn.
