Dorothy Dean Wilson

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin T. Wilson; son, Terry Wilson; parents, Omis Floyd Self and Oza Mae Vanatta Self.

Dorothy enjoyed watching the Price is Right every weekday. She had a great love for her grandchildren and she loved jewelry. She loved to read the Bible and work crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Goodlettsville First Baptist Church and was a longtime member of the Dalewood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Kerry Bateman; daughter-in-law, Beverly McClurkan Wilson; grandchildren, Daniel Wilson, Mitch Bateman, and wife, Tori, Dustin Bateman, and wife, Kristin, and Eric Bateman; great-grandchildren, Mia Bateman, Eden Bateman, Cruz Bateman, and Everett Bateman; brother, Jerry Self. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

A gathering of family and friends for Dorothy will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
