Mr. Hale, age 89, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014. Born in Trenton, Kentucky Sunday, June 22, 1924, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Hale; parents, Edward T. and Geneva Dycus Hale; sister, Mary Catherine Casteel; brother, James E. Hale.
An Army veteran, serving in WWII and he worked at Avco as a tool distributor. Mr. Hale is survived by his niece, Barbara Black; nephew, Melvin E. “Bud” Casteel and companion Helen Enger; sister-in-law, Joy Talley.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 Thursday, January 16, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Pastor Paul Gardner and Rev. Charles Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jim Driver, Jack Baker, Tom Freeman, Joel Clifton, Craig Hutfiltz, Owen Sanders and David Wilson.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Hale at a visitation today, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN 37072
