Elizabeth "Bette" Salerno Freeman, formerly of Boynton Beach, FL, now residing in Mt. Juliet, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Bette was born July 12, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ to George and Mary Salerno. On April 29, 1967 she married Bill Freeman, her loving husband of 56 years. Together they raised Will and Stephanie, moving to Orlando in the 80s. They moved to Boynton Beach in the early 2000s.
Bette was a faithful servant of God and was a parishioner at St. Thomas More Boynton Beach.
Bette loved the beach and spending time with friends and family. Everyone who knew Bette knew how she fiercely loved her family. Bette is joined in Heaven by her parents and her brothers George and James. Left to cherish her memory are Bill; her son Will (Cayley) Freeman of Mt. Juliet,TN and daughter Stephanie (David) Bixby of Nashville, TN; granddaughters Aspyn Freeman, Kendall Bixby and Sydney Bixby; sister in law Angela Freeman; several nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends. She leaves us with the true meaning of unconditional love. We will miss Bette more than words can say.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on January 8th at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 10539 S. Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL. followed by inurnment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
