

Ms. Ethoda Elliott, age 96, passed away on June 6 at her home in Ridgetop, Tennessee. Mrs. Elliott was born in Winston County, Alabama on February 9, 1924 to the late Paul Blanton and Hannah Belle McCrary Blanton. Mrs. Elliott is survived by her daughter, Betty Carpenter (John); grandsons, David (Michele) and Jonathan (Esther); Renee Ulman (Van), Tal Elliott; great grandchildren, Hannah Ray (Tyler), Marly Uncapher (Travis), Maggie Carpenter, Noble Carpenter, Amelie Carpenter; one great-great grandchild, Barett Uncapher; brother, Johnny Blanton (Linda); sisters, Alean Williams, Helen McCombs, Dois Elliott (G.W.), Julia Click (Hollis), Sue Mills, Jan Ennis. Preceding Mrs. Elliott in death are her husband Garvie Elliott; son, Wayne Elliott; brother, James Blanton; sister, Velma Barton; sister, Christine Curtis. Mrs. Elliott was a loving homemaker, bookkeeper in her husband’s lumber business, and an employee of Traders & Farmers Bank in Double Springs, Alabama. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Goodlettsville, TN, where she taught Sunday School and coordinated the Meals on Wheels program for many years. Her immediate family will celebrate her life on June 9th at Forrest Lawn Memorial in Goodlettsville with Rev. Lyle Larson officiating.
