Retired from Genesco with more than 30 years of service, Mrs. Barnes is survived by her daughters, Barbara McGill, Donna Duke and Tammy Nelson; her son, Bob Nelson; her seven grandchildren, Cherie McGill-Stan, Matthew McGill, Terry Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Rachael Cox, Bethany Martinez and Nathan Duke; her 5 great-grandchildren, Conor Trexler, Justin Martinez, Isabella Cox, Andrew Cox and Ashlyn Cox.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Allan Legard officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Barnes Monday, October 15, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 16, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the service as 12:00 noon at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
