Mary Frances Roberson Wingo passed away on January 18, 2026, at The Harbor, a memory center, where she had lived for the past few months. Her final moments were spent peacefully with her daughter by her side.
Born in 1931, she reached the grand age of 94. Known for her gracious and kind personality, she was a true southern woman. Her skills in gardening both flowers and vegetables were remarkable; her talents as a seamstress garnered much admiration.
She is survived by her children, Claudette Wingo Jones and Jonathan Andrew Wingo; granddaughter, Erin Colleen Wingo; nieces, Sherrill Dean Roberson Gregory, Marilyn Louise Roberson; and nephew, Michael Edward Roberson.
Preceding her were her parents, Dewey Claude Roberson and Eva Louise Roberson May of Gibson County, TN; her husband and companion, Charles Leo Wingo of Davidson County, TN; and brother, Jesse Edward Roberson of Gibson County, TN.
Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1150 Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN, on Thursday, January 22 from 5 to 8 pm. A private, immediate family only, burial is scheduled.
