Garry Allen Wingett, 56, passed away suddenly on February 21, 2025, at home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Born on November 20, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, Garry lived a life filled with love for his family and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that brought him happiness. A Celebration of Life is planned for the spring, and details will be shared once known.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lorene Wingett, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; parents, Garry and Mary Jane Wingett, of Kansas City, Missouri; his sister, Janelle; his brother, Jason (Miranda); his nephew, Nicholas (Sarah); four nieces – Katelyn, Lily, Alyssa, and Abigail; his great-nephew, Jaxon; his long-time girlfriend, Morgan, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Florence Wingett; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Avo Morris; and his grandmother, Marjorie Kaumans.
Garry had an immense heart and a generous spirit that touched the lives of those around him. His love for his nieces and nephew was unwavering. He was a devoted uncle who took great pride in their lives, cherishing every moment spent with them.
An aquarium enthusiast, Garry found joy in the tranquility of underwater life. He spent countless hours caring for his aquatic companions, fascinated by their beauty and movement. His passion for aquariums reflected his love of nature – a quality that extended to all aspects of his life.
Among Garry’s greatest joys was the companionship of his beloved dog, Jack. Their bond was one of unconditional love and loyalty. Jack was more than just a pet; he was a steadfast friend who brought comfort and happiness to Garry’s days.
Garry’s kindness knew no bounds. His presence brought light into the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories that will be held close by those who loved him.
