Irene Allen, age 88, passed away on October 25, 2016 at Grace Manor Assisted Living. She was born on July 8, 1928, to parents Frank and Viola Welker Nelson in Dover, TN. She was a long time member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church and later Parkway Baptist Church. Her memorial service will be held at Parkway Baptist Church with Brother Ken Castleberry presiding on Saturday, October 29th at 2PM with visitation at 1PM.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Cullen Allen and granddaughter Ashley Fudge. She is survived by two children, David Cullen Allen(Pat) and Lisa Kay Creasy(Jeff) , also five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In her last days, the only sentence she could say completely was "I love you", and that was absolutely enough.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, at 50 Century Blvd. Nashville, TN.
