Born to the late Albert Delano and Mary (Watson) Elliott, Jim is also preceded in death by his sister Brenda Toivonen. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sue; children Matt Elliott (Amanda), Leslie Elliott; grandchildren Lindy and Silas; sister Sandra Elliott Adcox (Melvin); nieces Christy Stewart, Lori Rardin, Francie Toivonen, Susan Toivonen; other beloved extended family and dear friends.
Jim retired from Metro Water Services after serving his community for more than 40 years. When he was able, Jim enjoyed golfing and working in the yard. He and Sue loved to watch baseball games and stayed in state parks all across Tennessee, in their RV. Jim made friends easily and will be remembered for his kindness and generous nature.
Visitation for Jim Elliott will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 from 3pm -7pm and again on Tuesday, June 13th beginning at 10am, with a funeral chapel service to begin at 2pm, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 S. Dickerson Pike Rd., Goodlettsville, TN. Cremation will follow with an urn burial at a later date.
