Joe "Pop" Burgess Shearon Sr.

A middle Tennessee native Joe owned the Shearon Mattress Company and ran his business with commitment, honesty, and integrity. His greatest passion was his family, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Joe's favorite time of the year was Christmas and how appropriate for the Lord to bring him home on Christmas Eve. He loved to vacation with his family and give his children a wonderful life. He was never too busy or too tired and always there ready to help with an attitude of happiness and joy.

Joe was a man of generosity, a loving Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Zachariah “Zack” T Shearon, grandmother Catherine “Kate” Shearon, father Ewing Burgess Shearon Sr., and his Mother Emily Elizabeth Shearon. He is survived by his wife Sara Jeaneice Shearon, son Joe Burgess Shearon Jr, daughter Sonya Renae Edwards, brother David Shearon, grandchildren Brian Shearon, Jeff Shearon, Nicholas Sims, Sara Johnson, Isaiah Dodson, Zachry Dodson, and great grandchildren Ethan Shearon, and Sam Shearon.

There will be a private graveside service with Reverend Rosemary Brown officiating, held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, TN.
